The Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership is the leading economic and community development organization in Mississippi's Capital Community. Since its beginning 120 years ago as the Jackson Board of Trade, the organization has played a key role in the growth and development of the economy. Led by a 60-member volunteer Board of Directors, the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership’s vision is to improve the growth of local and regional industry through the enhancement of the quality of life for all area citizens, the development of strong relationships within the regional community, and to provide tangible economic benefits to member businesses throughout the Central Mississippi region.

Southcentral Mississippi Works 
Southcentral Mississippi Works (SMW) Workforce Investment Area serves 17 counties in the central and southern portion of the state through a network of 10 WIN Job Centers. CMPDD, in partnership with Southwest MS Planning and Development District, acts as the administrative entity for the local workforce investment board and local elected officials providing guidance and oversight for the workforce activities for the area.

Workforce investment activities help improve the skills and abilities of workers, support the labor needs of local businesses, and contribute to the economic growth of area communities. SMW works closely with a number of partner agencies to offer a comprehensive array of services, including the Mississippi Department of Employment Security, local Community Colleges, the Mississippi Development Authority, and local economic developers.
